Overnight Storms hit South-East England Causing Severe Flooding

Major Disruptions on Polling Day as Severe Flooding Emerges after Thunderstorm

As millions went out to vote in the EU Referendum, some in the south of England have been disrupted by flood waters after a heavy downpour last night. Some cars have been submerged along with some polling stations actually closing due to the flooding’s in the affected areas. Many people have been rescued by the London Fire Brigade who has said it has attended over 400 incidents which include flooded homes but also properties that actually have been struck by lightning.

Fire brigade crews have been rescuing people by boat in the worst affected areas as the few who were wading through the flood waters where nearly above waist deep in the water.

Rail networks, London Underground and other forms of transport have reduced service in the area due to the severity of the weather. Forecasters are warned of a potential second wave of downpours in that afternoon, telling everyone to be prepared.

As more and more floods have been hitting areas across the world, it is a clear implication that everyone needs to be prepared for the inevitable circumstances.
