Hundreds of residents had to be evacuated from their homes after historic Houston floods
The city of Houston saw 15 inches of rain last Sunday in which normally would only see 4 inches in the entire month of April. Hundreds of residents had to be evacuated from their homes across Harris County this morning as floodwaters continue to rise after flash floods caused chaos in Texas on Monday when month’s worth of rain fell in just 1 Hour.
More than 1200 residents were rescued from floods Monday while 1000 homes were flooded in Harris County alone. The historic floods caused 120,000 homes to be without power and reportedly some residents were trapped in their cars and homes.
It has been reported that tragically 5 people have died in this terrible incident.
